It seems that many modern health fads in the West include the idea of full-body detoxification. Many of these diets are difficult and can be very challenging to follow. They have austere rules and complicated dietary schedules. Do you think that these detoxification diets are worth the effort?
Does Detox really work?
Taking samples of your blood before and after a detox will actually show pH fluctuations. Before the detox, your chemistry will be acidic. After, your body will be close to neutral or slightly alkaline (its natural untouched state).
High blood pressure, obesity, heart disease and even diabetes can be relieved, if not cured, by detoxification. There are testimonial accounts to this fact. Those with hardened arteries experience a relief in high blood pressure when they pursue a detoxification diet. Diabetics find it easier to maintain proper insulin levels after a detox diet (controlled by medical doctor).
When placed on a detox diet, there are accounts of cancer patients experiencing a decrease in tumor tissue (outside of leukemia)
Also, why have degenerative illnesses (such as obesity, cancer and heart disease) become so common place? It seems the more modern we become, the sicker we are. Could this be related to the high amount of toxins we consume as we gain new technology?
Detoxification is entirely worth the effort. However, it does not mean that the effects will take place overnight. Detox can help you achieve good health but even in your everyday life, you should stay on a healthy diet. And as times go by, you will then notice your health improving.
