Yeast infection is usually caused by Candida Albicans. About 75% of the women in the world will be victim of yeast infection during their lifetime, and many of them would be infected multiple times. Candida albicans is fungus diploid asexual fungus. It can be found in many places such as oral cavity, men’s foreskins, folds of the skins, babies diapered areas, women’s vagina. Basically the fungus appear in warm, moist and dark areas. In certain cases, it can live in the gastrointestinal tract.
What are the symptoms of yeast infections?

What causes vaginal yeast infection?
There are many reasons that cause yeast infection such as stress, menstruation, allergies to oral contraceptives etc. The type of clothes can also trigger fungal growth.
What about men?
Though not as common, men can also get infected with yeast infection which is known as Balanitis. It usually can be found at the penal head, and especially common in men who have not been circumcised.
Is there any medication for yeast infection?
There are a variety of over the counter-the-counter treatments that have been very successful with curing yeast infection. While these treatments have been successful in the past, sometimes the yeast can develop an immunity to the treatment, especially if you are a person who is particularly susceptible to yeast infections. Alternatively, you can try some natural home remedies which maybe more effective than any medicines found on the shelf.

Can yeast infection be transferable?
It is possible for yeast infection to be sexually transmitted hence it would be advisable to avoid sex till yeast infection has been cleared.
Is there any ways to avoid yeast infection?
You can avoid wearing tight fitting clothing for a start. Try to wear loose fitting clothing, cotton underwear, changing out of wet bathing suit, maintaining a balanced blood sugar level.
